Yep... very versatile pedal indeed... Price point is a major plus!!!
Well... Elecrro Harmonix is definitely known for their Bass Big Muff. First of all, you can dial in as much or as little fuzz/distortion as you want with this pedal at any volume and the 3 position toggle switch allows the user to simply boost the bass signal and or blend fuzz with your bass signal... loud or quite as in soft "if that makes sense". This Pedal is very good in my opinion for live situations and I think it is awesome for solo endeavors, especially with the micro POG... add some reverb or delay and Yeah!!...

Really good alternative!
These pickups have noticeable midrange punch, not as scooped sounding as a fender standard player series P bass pickup. An external equalizer would get that scooped sound from the SBJ-3 pickups as well...!
