Wounded Knee Heartbreak
A beautiful storyline based on the events leading to the massacre of Native Americans at Wounded Knee in the Dakotas.
A glimpse of the cultural changes forced upon tribes by the US Government & the constant breaking of Treaty promises to the benefit of the whites.
Told from the perspective of a young Sioux who was raised in the mission schools, attained a University placement & became a doctor, returning to the Dakotas to help his people living on one of the Government reservations.
The story is both well-told & compelling to watch.
