Safer when the spark guard is used.
This outdoor fire pit is great. Way better than the one I replaced. When logs spark, the embers stay in the fire pit, instead of coming out and landing in my yard, thanks to the spark guard. Much safer than the old one.

Best fire starter ever!!!
I have a back yard fire pit, and use kiln dried wood. I used different fire starters over the years with good results. When I received Coghlan's Waterproof-Fire Sticks Tinder Emergency Fire Starters, I thought "No way are these going to start a fire".
To my surprise, they did start the fire! I started with a whole stick, and just out of curiosity, I used 1/2 of a stick, and again, to my surprise, the 1/2 stick worked. So then, I ran out of kindling, and again was surprised that 1/2 of a stick started the logs. The 1/2 stick works best if you have thinner logs; for thicker logs, you may need a whole stick.
I will buy this product again, as it is the best fire starter I have used. I also HIGHLY recommend Coghlan's Waterproof-Fire Sticks Tinder Emergency Fire Starters.
