Fascinating Case
This is an amazing case. The book is fantastic and perfectly tells the story of an innocent man who endures two murder trials. But it was published before the story was over. It's what happened AFTER the two trials that will shock you. Read the book, then find out what happened after the book was published. You will be amazed.

Black Dahlia Solved?
I was originally disappointed with this book because the first half is an Elizabeth Short biography, and it's advertised as a story about the murder and not a biography of the victim. I don't want to appear disrespectful of the victim, but it doesn't matter who the victim was in this case. It was the sensationalism of the crime that is at issue. The victim could have been Betty Short, Jane Johnson, or Julie Jones. Where Betty Short got her shoes as a kid is irrelevant, and so is the first 100 pages of this book. I am glad I kept reading however, because the payoff was huge. Unlike Hodel's book "The Black Dahlia Avenger" and several other books on the case, this one rings true. I think the dude solved the case.

Terrible Movie
This movie has very little to do with the Elizabeth Short (The Black Dahlia) murder. It's mostly about the police and their personal lives and relationships. There is only one interesting character, and she just has a bit part. I had to watch this movie in two parts because it was just so disjointed and boring that I couldn't watch it all at once.
