Your Worst Nightmare?
I thought this would be a good first laser kit project. Wrong! The "kit" consisted of a credit card sliver of etched wood with parts the size of the head of a pin. Even with a lighted magnifier I had difficulty seeing what I was doing. The directions used terms for parts other than the names for the parts on the schematic. The pin holes for the axles were all too tiny for the brass rods. One wheel broke trying to cut it loose. And I lost one of the tiny axle brackets and had to replace it with the spare wheel hub. But the main problem was the pivoting front wheel structure. It is impossibly complex with those tiny parts and then, once assembled, resulted in a high front end to the wagon. Several times I wanted to chuck the little devil.
I gave up when the time came to glue the rims on the wheels. You gotta be kidding me. Really??
I'm too embarrassed to install this on my layout.
Too much time, frustration and expense for a model not much larger than a quarter.
In one photo below the circle is a wheel rim. The dot is the formerly lost axle bracket.
