RGB LED fluter

I bought a set with 3 of these RGB LED lamps for a project in which the word HOLLYWOOD had to illuminated at night for a local festival in our village. The effect was really impressive (see pictures). The letters were 2.1m high and the word 'Hollywood' was 16m wide in total. I cannot judge the life time as i used the lamps inkt for one week. Will use for other projects in future like Christmas or festivals.

Amazing light effects: value for money

I bought a number of these DMX512 RGB LED crystal balls for a project. And it is really amazing to see what nice light effects generated by this low cost device! Multiple programs for fixed colors and speed are avaiable. However, I like the one that change color and motion autmotically by music via integrated microphone the most. Note that are two different versions being sold on Ebay: One verison has a integrated colling fan and the other does does not have. There is not difference in price between both versions, I expect that the version with the integrated fan will have longer life time as the electronics and especially the high power LEDs are cooled by forced air. I cannot say anything about the quality / lifetime as I have only used the lamps only some hours up to now.
