The best single book to begin and continue the study of parliamentary law/procedure.
This reprint of the 1915 version makes an excellent teaching guide or self-study guide for parliamentary procedure. It covers all of the basics and the print type used in the book makes it easier to read. The basics do not change although you will see updates in presentation and even in verbiage from this edition when compared to the present one.
I highly recommend this book as a beginning lesson plan maker just as described in the back of the book. It walks you through scenarios applying the all-important usage as it goes. It really does not require much reading to see who "gets it" and who does not when attending a public meeting. Whether you are just a curious observer, or wish to be an informed participant this edition will hand you the ropes at whatever level you wish to engage it.
At the risk of sounding cliche, this edition is a parliamentary law/procedure "classic".

Interesting, provoking facts and ideas that are supported in his research! Excellent author!
I saw the author on a local channel interviewed about this book. it compelled me to purchase it and I am very glad I did. The parts I have read so far make me want to review what all else the author has written and seek out more. I love reading about historical people from this era as well as others, but this book has given me lots of interesting background facts for me as a teacher.
