Most sock patterns come in a couple of sizes. Feet come in all sortss of different lengths and widths. Ms. Atherley created the manual for sock design that allows knitters to custom-fit gorgeous socks to uniquely gorgeous feet-everytime. There are a few "bibles" I keep in my knitting library. This book has pride of place among the most-treasured.
