Roof Rack Rail Bars Locking Ford Focus Estate 2011- on SOLID FLUSH Rails

Good solid bars

Pros: 1. value for money 2. quick to attach with protective rubber pads so no marks when removed and the pads create friction and grip 3. when set at extreme spacing (Ford Focus Estate) carried 2No 18mm x 1.2 x 2.4 sheets of ply with enough bar protruding to allow secure tying down. (ensure rope is looped front and back to stop boards shifting when breaking hard) Cons: 1. bars (may) rust inside and drip rusty condensation out ends if left on for long periods. This happened with similar product for other car 2. wrap around attachment comes in three parts and when bars removed the bolted on grips stay on the rail and are laborious to remove and refit (I leave them on when bars removed for long journeys (lots of annoying wind noise) ) On balance: very happy with product apart from the grips however for price I will live with it.

Better than expected

Bought 2 sets of 4 for mandolin. Just enough string post above headstock to make useable. Would fit uke perfectly. Keeps strings in tune,. Far superior to strap type.
