The hinges are NOT reliable and do not work as intended.The bare thin metal will rust.
The hinges do not stay connected to the metal edge of the 6-inch gutter. They are too small and don't have any tension pressure to grab the edge of the metal. This issue makes this product very hard to install. Another issue is the fact that the guards are made of very thin bare sheet metal and thus require a coat of protective anti-rust spray otherwise they will soon rust in a high humidity environment, this is an added cost.

Unique useful product
Very convinient product that can be used anywhere except under water or high in the Himalayas Mountains
The dimmer is quite unique and is a great feature
