Good quality E27 pendant
It's almost impossible to find good quality ES/E27 pendant light fittings. I checked Amazon, Ebay and independent online shops with not much luck. After resorting to buying a cheap and nasty option (probably from China and has still not arrived) this one was a recommended item from Ebay suggestions. The build quality is great and it was easy to assemble and wire up. The only downside is it doesn't come with wiring instructions.
NB remember the live wire will always need to be wired into the terminal that leads to the centre contact point in the fitting. The neutral wire is connected to the outer/threaded contact point.
It was definitely worth paying a few pounds more for this fitting in my opinion.

Parlux compact expensive but great quality dryer
Hairdressing is my living. I've been doing it for 30+ years. A hairdryer is the equivalent of one of my power tools. These dryers consistently last me at least 5 years of non stop almost everyday use. They may be a bit pricey but when you use hair dryers as many times in a day as I do, you need one that is good quality, has decent speed/heat settings and is dependable. This is my 3rd Parlux compact. My last one lasted me 8 years.
