It is a historical document proposing a Jewish State. Possibilities at the time were Argentina or Palestine. The aim was to eliminate anti-semitism.
The book itself is a good quality historical document for the price.

Utopian novel about a modern Jewish state established in the ancestral homeland of the Jews.
Leather bound coffee table edition printed in 1960 for the 100th anniversary of Herzl's birth. Used book in fine condition.

Worth reading because the author was on scene for some important historical events.
The State of Israel is more a product of World War I and World War II than a deliberate attempt by Great Britain and The United States to colonize Palestine. The book fails to make the case that Israel is a colonial settler project. Absent WWI and WWII, Israel would be just a collection of Jewish estates in Palestine governed by The Ottoman Empire.
