A real southern writer!
Thomas Landess's writing is nothing short of brilliant, and this collection of his works is no exception! Whether serious or hilarious the compilation of stories in this reader provide wonderful insight into the man Landess was. Southerners and non-southerners alike will enjoy Landess's style, which is sophisticated yet simple, effortlessly appealing to both the academic and the novice reader. This reader is warm and entertaining, just like so many of the characters within in it!
