Knowing God
Clearly explains that God designed us to worship Him. He made us, he loves us all individually and He is infinitely more powerful than we can possibly imagine.
This is what makes God astonishing: He does NOT have to defer to humans who are like grains of sand - but the whole point of the Gospel is that He sacrifices Himself in our place, takes our sin and corruption upon Himself- punishes His Son instead of punishing me. Because God knows that we are weak and vulnerable and that we cannot go through life without His constant help and guidance. Nor will we survive God’s Judgment without knowing Jesus, God’s Son - who advocates for believers day and night.
We don’t earn this: there is nothing that we can do or say to win salvation. It is a gift freely offered by an all powerful God.
