Granstream Saga
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich An awe inspiring title in its simplicity. It's graphic are decidedly hideous. However, the anime cutscenes are strategically placed in the game accentuating that does not always take itself serious. Jokes pop in areas where you would expect the game to be more serious, which adds a certain charm to an already fun game to play. The story, preventing the continents from sinking into the ocean from their perch in the air falls into the 'hero saves the world' cliche and yet makes it an enjoyable alternative.
The music is refreshing and unique in each land giving you the feeling that you really are in a new place.
Battles are all fought one-on-one. While each enemy does have a rhythm, each one takes time to learn and figure out. Some are best dealt with by moving along with them while others are best fought by charging directly at them when they give you a good opening.
All in all, it was time well spent.

It rocks!
Until it was stolen by roofers contracted through Power Home Remodeling, I owned this game for years, from its release. I absolutely love this game, and have fond memories of wandering around, and getting lost in odd places, only to find the Puff-Puff Lady. Find that out for yourself. This game has an odd sense of humor, pitting you in a chase to hunt down a Jester. My two fondest memories related to this game is the end boss in his first form, and getting into a fight with shadows which kept of summoning more shadows, and ultimately winning. :D
For reference, multiple enemies are labeled with letters, and the shadows reached letter P. Winning that fight felt better than actually winning against the hardest boss.
I even took inspiration when I wrote my own story Castaway in Arrenkelly available on Amazon.
