Better than expected!

fun, but you have to be patient
Why buy this over any MP3 player or an iPod? It's like a spy watch! Hidden in the watch band is the plug-in for your computer, so you can transfer files easily (music or not). The earphones have great sound.
There is a little bit of a learning curve on transferring the MP3 files and which buttons are for on/off etc.

Very entertaining, read by author on CD which makes more interesting.
In my opinion, even though this novel was first in Tales of the City, you can read this without knowing the Tales of the City series. Read by the author, which is great b/c you get tone and inflection from the author vs an actor. Makes you feel like you are there in San Francisco, and a few shout outs to Wilton Manors (Fort Lauderdale) FL.
Great candid interview with author at end of novel (CD).
