Excellent modern cutlery
These are excellent spoons. The entire Alessi KnifeForkSpoon range is fantastic. I've owned a set for 6 or 7 years and they're great. Modern looks, very solid and holding up well to daily use. Buy the polished rather than matte as the matte ones won't clean as well in the dishwasher.
I bought these dessert spoons for my kids. The teaspoons in this range are tiny so I needed something bigger. These are a good option.
Finally, if they get scratched after multiple years of use, just buy the finest grade wet/dry sandpaper you can get and give them a quick once over. Back to new in no time.

The OC - an existential masterpiece
22 von 25 finden das hilfreich Why do we love the OC? Does it remind us of our own priveleged upbringings; enormous mansions, infinity pools and all? I doubt the majority of viewers drive BMW X5s to school. No, I would argue that it's the heart-rending tales of the trials and tribulations of young adulthood that draw us in. This series has really captured the mood of a generation. Despite their looks and wealth there is an underlying tension to these teenagers. There is an all-pervading sense of helplessness and hopelessness to the series. This is THE modern existential story, Seth Cohen cast as the Camus of the noughties. It looks like Fitzgerald updated for a new generation. Join them in their quest for the meaning of life, love and the universe.
The series starts with Ryan, living with his mum and her abusive boyfriend, finding himself in trouble with the law. He is taken in by a wealthy lawyer with a heart of gold, and through living with his new family see a whole new side to life. The subtlety of the plot is wonderful as the street-tough Ryan becomes an innocent in this hedonistic yet baleful world. The series sees his journey over the next few months, the simultaneous repulsion and attraction of this new life.
Excellent stuff, highly recommended.
