A tone machine...
I love this guitar. The neck feels great and plays fast and the 3-pickup setup offers a super wide range of tone possibilities. I was looking for a jazz-capable guitar that had enough tonal variation to do more than just jazz and this Gretsch fits the bill. The richness of the tone and natural compression of the pickup / body combination make this thing a jazz monster yet it still has the classic "Gretsch" old-school sound when called upon. The center-block, semi-hollow design gives it good sustain without feedback issues. It is a heavy guitar with the center-block design and the Bigsby hardware adding weight. Locking tuners would have been nice but I'll be adding those shortly. IMHO, this is the best sounding and playing "335-style" guitar you can buy for under $1,000.

Very nice fitting polarized shades
Very nice fitting polarized shades. I have a BIG head and these bad boys fit me and don't look like kids glasses. Seem to have high-quality optics and are sturdy. They should last a while as long as I don't sit on them or lose them.

Just another mediocre antenna...
3 von 4 finden das hilfreich Nice size and the stand is handy but it doesn't work any better than the "passive" antenna I already had. I'm about 22 miles from all the network stations and this thing barely picks up 2 of them at a time. The power cord for the amplifier was flaky and had to repaired. Once setup it worked no better than the passive antenna I was already using. This is just another cheap antenna.
