Great quality -- pocket sized
I have been searching for replacement for my S95, and have used Canon S100 and Sony DSC RX-100. I travel alot and have abandoned my big bag of SLR equipment in favor of a high quality pocket camera (the best camera is the one you have with you . . .) The Sony's image quality is superb (probably owing to the sensor size . . .) but it was just enough larger than the S95 to make it a bit difficult slide it in and out of my pocket. The G9X has solved this problem. Sensor size has increased, and as far as I can tell with the limited time I have used it, the image quality is on par with the Sony.
