If I can master the key's this will be a very useful book but I have a feeling I will be sticking to something lighter in the field.
This book has massive coverage of plants including ferns, trees, grasses etc which means it is quite heavy to handle, there is a very useful key but that requires quite a lot of pages of text pages interspersed among the illustrations and species accounts. The illustrations are ok but a little small and pale compared to other guides.

Chronos (DVD)
If you're buying this because you liked Baraka or Koyaanisqatsi you may be a little disappointed; it is made in the same vein but is quite short and,to me, felt somewhat disjointed and maybe poorer quality... if that's unfair maybe they just didn't have the best weather. I'm hanging on to Baraka but I'm afraid its the boot sale for my Chronos.
