Great to have cult film!
SELLER AND DVD BOTH GREAT
Now as far as the movie goes:
BORN LOSERS is a slo moving, lo budget, drive-in-B-movie, that is largely a snooze fest, and one that hardly features the Billy Jack character at all, and with almost no fight scenes. When there is a fight scene it is one or two moves, and with the camera focused on Billy Jack's face. The bulk of this snooze fest concerns the friction between a laff-out-loud and completely unintimidating 'biker gang' and a free spirit girl that keeps re-buffing them. There are no sex scenes, nudity, or even 4-letter words. The men call the girls 'chickees,' and each other 'cats.'
Still this film is a must have for a couple of reasons: it wonderfully captures the look and feel of 60's America, including 'going to eat at the Howard Johnsons.' And it introduces the cult figure of Billy Jack, who would go on to appear in 5 films total; all known for martial arts scenes while simultaneously stumping for Indian rights, environmental rights, peace/anti-war themes, etc.
Also worth noting looking backwards is how much of a remake of BILLY JACK Sly Stallone did with the various RAMBO films. Both are loners. Both are set in the Pacific Northwest. Both live off the land. Both are martial arts trained ex-Green Berets and Vietnam vets. Both run afoul of the law (including run ins with the same cop played by the same actor). Billy Jack is 'anti-social,' Rambo has PTSD--if they'd known about PTSD in the 60's Billy Jack may have been diagnosed with it. Etc etc etc
So yes, a must have for the collector.

New story arc doesn't disappoint!
1 von 3 finden das hilfreich Easily the best of the Predator (including the Predator vs Alien), movies boing back to the org Predator 1 with Arnold. Stars Boyd Holbrook, who played 'Cap' in the Hatfields vs McCoys mini-series, along with a cast of expert/misfit characters that add humor to the story-line. Not just another retread plot line covering the same old turf. Lots of fresh material added to the story. Another bright spot is the addition of main character Quinn McKenna's (Holbrook) son Rory, played by Jacob Tremblay, who as an autistic kid is able to figure out the Predator's language and gadgets. More sequels to follow (hopefully!), based on the expanded story arc. A must have for Predator fans!

Good Movie
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich This movie is about way more than the much hyped HB nude/sex scene. It is about the day to day struggle of ppl who just try to survive; dealing with poverty, racism, aging parents, mental issues, loneliness, and the like. I can see why HB got an Oscar for her role in this film. BBT should've gotten one too.
