Assumed to live up to my memory of this series (my DVD player currently inoperable)
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich I am responding with memory of when I watched this on TV upon initial presentation of the series. I must get my DVD player fixed before I can enjoy these DVDs from the original broadcasts. This collection was just a fraction of the cost it would have been with purchase from PBS. I am very much looking forward to revisiting this wonderful not-to-be-forgotten series of lovable stories and amazing characters, as depicted from real life experience of James Herriot. I have enjoyed the new TV version released last year, which is wonderful in its own very creative way. I loved the books and want to return to the original enactments of James Herriot's stories. I will also follow the new series presentations, as they have appeared on Public TV over the past 2 Christmas seasons and will likely continue upon the next. Both series are amazing in capturing quirky actions and nuances of feeling of the wonderful characters during those early years of the Yorkshire Dells. Beautiful food for the soul.
