An Early 2000's CD Player

Let's address the elephant in the room. The sound quality is bad. This thing was made at the height of the MP3 era. It's not cheaply constructed and it even charges with batteries, but the headphone jack is made for the shitty 64 and 32 ohm headphones of the era. Line out sounds much better. The top is partially clear around the outside so you can watch the CD spin around as it plays. the skip protection is clearly compressing the audio down a bit but it's not too bad. Unfortunately, you can't turn it totally off... It can play MP3s off a disc. How novel. It's a collectors piece, but if you want a CD player so you can listen to your old CDs, try an older portable player (early/mid 90s) ... or get a USB DVD drive for your computer. Much cheaper.

One of my favorite anime remastered

As an owner of the original DVD release, I can tell you the BD version is a serious improvement, especially in the OP and ED. Colors are vivid and film grain and poor interlacing are removed. The anime itself is a classic.
