This 4:1 unun toroid was NOT attached to the mounting tape. Also, the TOROID was TOUCHING both coax CONTACTS wires and was rattling around. The Toroid was not even pushed to the back. The wires wrapping the toroid were loose. This is the second problem I have had with LDG in a row. It seems their quality control seems non egsistant as of late. I have heard of many others having problems. If you do buy, be sure to OPEN THE BOX and do your own QUALITY CHECK!!!

It works great and compact!!!

I made my first call as a new ham Technition with this antenna today. The top of the antenna was just 10' high using my BaoFeng BF-F8HP. My contact was 15 miles away and my RST was reported as 5 by 9. Not a long distance test but proven to very work well. Most important to me is its compact size. It fits well in the Baofeng UV-5R Two-way Radio Case I got off of ebay.

A must for BaoFeng BF-F8HP and equivalents!

Case is better than expected! Semi-hard shell case! Plenty of room for manual, all accessories and download cable! I even store my Nagoya NA-771 15.6-Inch Whip Antenna inside (it bends). Padding has a firmer top shell to resist wear. A must for BaoFeng BF-F8HP and equivalents!!
