New Mk II version of Canon 16-35L as good as advertised
11 von 11 finden das hilfreich With the more demanding resolution of the Canon 1DS Mark III camera, lens sharpness is more critical than ever. The previous version of this wide angle zoom wasn't equal to the task. Even the high quality Canon 24-70L zoom didn't allow me to maximize resolution potential at the wide end of the zoom. The net result is that I sold both lenses and bought the new 16-35L II zoom. I've been very pleasantly surprised. The detail, sharpness and contrast at 16mm to 24mm is first rate from corner to corner. The 28mm to 35mm end of the zoom is quite good as well, although performance at the wide end seems better primarily because we photographers are used to seeing less corner-to-corner sharpness from the ultra-wide focal lengths. This lens is a must for anyone using high resolution Canon cameras including the 1DS Mark II and III, the 1D Mark III, and the 5D!

Best Mirrorless Camera System backpack
I have Sony A7rM2 and A6300 cameras and seven lenses which allow me to cover the full spectrum of outdoor photography without carrying cumbersome heavy loads. The ability to move around quickly and easily is critical for me. However, among the literally thousands of bag and pack designs there are only a few that are really designed for this system. The Think Tank Backpack TT853 is by far the best of those few. It is lightweight, holds both cameras and six lenses plus small accessories. It gives fast access to all of the equipment, and is a simple plain design that doesn't signal "expensive equipment inside". Though light, the cameras and lenses are protected well with substantial padding. I'm always looking for the perfect bag which is the most compact but holds all of my equipment with no wasted space, yet provides good cushioning against shocks. This is as good as it gets if you are are a Sony ILCE user.
