Worthwhile product.
Flawless machining and easily fits many different calipers other than Starratt and Mitutoyo. It even fits my Helios ( high quality German).

Better than the local competion
I originally bought one from my local Best Buy store for a whopping $12.49 plus tax to use with my new Actron OBD2 and OBD1 scanner/code reader to transfer data to my computer for streaming analysis. I somehow had missed this on line (in fact I don't remember how I found it) the two times I went looking for one. I must admit, I was a little apprehensive about the quality, but decided to give it a shot and bought one. It not only came early, it was a better quality than the overcharge from Best Buy. Need one? Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Relevance for all.
This book is almost all-encompassing for gun values and ratings. One particular S&W revolver (a model 30-1 3" barrel round butt..a J frame) was low in the estimates (they are typically double the price at auction), however one should use this book as a guide not a bible. Even in the car business, the Kelly Blue Book is not the final say for cars value...it is the market itself...what the car is selling for on the dealers lot and what the cars are rolling through the auction for. You will learn what the different levels are for particular guns' values (with clear pictures) and what makes one model of gun worth more (or less) than another of the same model line and year...how many screws on the side plate, for instance. As comprehensive as you can expect from a book of values in a changing world. Whether you are looking up your grandfathers old single shot .22 or an old handmade ( only 4 ever made) classic double rifle, they are both here with accurate descriptions and what to look for that would cause the gun to lose value...or be the find of a lifetime! Fascinating for all who find the combined craftsmanship and art of guns fascinating.
