The best on the market! However.....

The Baofeng 2 way radio model UV 5R Plus is an awesome 2 way radio and police scanner. The charge lasts forever while not draining on the power supply. The radio is extremely clear and easy to operate. However, you CANNOT use this device by itself, or else the FCC with hit you with fines! You MUST download the CHIRP software AND purchase a programming cable to connect the radio to the internet and set up the CHIRP software to set up your radio properly. This package doesn NOT include the CHIRP software or the programming cable. There are 2 types of programming cables. One is for Windows and the other is for a Unix system. Both are available on E-Bay at really cheap prices...

Poorly made from Taiwan.

Overall, the aesthetics are nice. but it is poorly made. Had I known that it was made in Taiwan, I wouldn't have bought it. I have had this cane for about 3 1/2 weeks. I dropped my cane about 4 times, inside my apartment, and it totally, chipped the cane. I wouldn't recommend this cane.
