Does the Trick
Construction is fine. All the parts were in the box. Fitment of everything was fine. Certainly a big improvement over the old one. Much more lightweight too. Just wish the tub were a little sturdier. Compared to my old rigid one, it feels a little bit flimsy. But, for the price, it seems like a good value.

Best Reel in its Class

Because of the 25lb max drag on all the Fathom reels, I loaded my new Fathom 12 with 40lb braid even though it’s the smallest reel in the Fathom arsenal, because I know the reel can take it if I decide I want to fish a 40lb topshot of fluorocarbon. This reel gives me the confidence that I can out cast any angler on the boat and out muscle any fish that bites my line. Get a Fathom. It’ll become your new favorite reel.

Great Product
Great product. High quality parts. Sounds great. A nice way to modify your stock blow off valve to sound like a much more expensive one.
