Midnight in Paris
What a piece of film art. Cinematography is beautiful. Characters and costumes were a great ‘step back in time’ look into 1930’s Paris.
Overall it’s a very enjoyable love story assisted with a bit of magic as the main character dips in and out of Parisian life in the 30’s as he encounters the great artistic figures of the day, in both literacy and art.
But the love story is more about one man’s love of Paris, even more so in the rain.
Once it was finished I was lead to investigate most of these ‘real-life’ characters and their relationship with this beautiful city.
Owen Wilson does a fine display.
A Woody Allen masterpiece.
