Bad Tach cheap
I installed the Faris tach on my J115PLEEM Johnson outboard. Its junk! reads approx 1500-1800 under full throttle rpm. Check by OMC mechanic against his tach. I just had full rebuild and the tach is critical will be ordering an Original Johnson Evinrude system check tach. Yes we made sure on the correct Pole (6), but we tried (5) just to see interestingly it made no difference in rpms. Save your money by spending a little more $225-250 and get the Original Johnson system check tach for these older engines.
