1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Buying a Electrolux 2100 vacuum with plastic canister was a learning experience for me. I had grown up with, owned, and used 2 older metal canister electrolux vacuums and had imagined that the later model with plastic canister would be of comparable quality and have parts interchangeable with the older 1970s-1980s models. After the motor went up in one of my older vacuums, I thought it prudent to buy a more recent model thinking that the motor and the accessory components would last longer. What I learned is that the 2100 hose is not interchangeable with the older models, and overall,the plastic body seems "cheap" compared to the older metal canister models.
Perhaps the biggest lesson I learned about buying a used electrolux vacuum is that the hoses with a woven covering are lined with rubber that cracks, rots, and deteriorates over time. Unless you're paying a really low price for the vacuum and accessories, make sure that it comes with a newer pvc hose. Otherwise, you can plan on buying a replacement hose that will set you back upwards of $125.
Overall, compared with a older metal canister Electrolux, I can't say that I like or love anything about the Electrolux 2100 Cleaner. I wish that I had just invested the money to have the motor replaced in my old vacuum.
