Very handy around the shop
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is a great little fine grit stone, good for touching up an edge or stoning a small tool or workpiece surface. Use with mineral oil (that's what Norton honing oil is), easily sourced from the drug store and a particularly good price at IKEA (next to the wooden cutting boards). The oil keeps the grit clean and cutting nicely; can't be used (well) with water. Plastic case keeps oil off of whatever is next to it on the bench or in the toolbox or drawer. Will need to be flattened periodically, like any stone. A lapping plate is a must for that; I like the DMT diamond lapping plate for that job. With this care and maintenance will last a very long time.

Excellent fit on chainsaw and other narrow tang files.
Really nice handle for chainsaw files. Fits mine better than the Oregon wood handle which is too loose. This seems like it fits a wider range of sizes.

A terrific value at this price
For the price, this is a great product. The design is quite sound, this being what appears to be a shameless knock-off of the Apex Edge Pro. It's not quite as rugged as the Apex, but at this price you could buy ten for half the cost of the original. Also, in my experience, it's not used all that frequently; a person only needs so many knives and they don't get sharpened every day or even every month. I bought this one to leave at my Mom's house just so I don't have to pack and carry my original to sharpen her knives.
