On the front lines of emergency medicine
Well-written and compelling. Grayson details the day-in and day-out drama that any ambulance medic knows so well, including the - often dark - humor frequently involved. Much of what any emergency medic sees is routine and not particularly noteworthy other than to the people involved. However, there are the unusual calls that always seem to crop up; those are well worth retelling. Grayson tells them very well. A fascinating read, giving a window into the field for the layman and a sense of shared understanding to those who practice this difficult profession.
