Most informative, well done documentary I've ever seen (I'm in my 70's).

I agree with the review from Washington Post when the program was released in 2002: "Every once in a rare while, there comes along a program that staggers us with the unrealized possibilities of television to challenge and excite the passive minds of its viewers while informing and entertaining them as well. “Such an achievement is 'Commanding Heights,' the stunningly ambitious, brilliantly successful three-part documentary premiering at 9 tonight on PBS. No more important program for making sense of our life and times has been seen on the air in at least a decade and just possibly a good deal longer. ... ” It was remarkably good; I found it hard to stop watching.
