Amazing movie :)
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I saw this many years ago as a child and recall it fondly, but couldn't this of the film's name. This is the best Ludwig II adaption I've seen, Visconti in excellent. Helmut Berger is striking handsome and Romy Schneider is amazing in her return as Sissi. Trevor Howard as Wagner is also great to Berger's Ludwig. Yes 4 1/2 hours is a bit of a douzy, but this film flies fast. Good to pass the time when I'm on lunch breaks at work on my laptop. I also enjoyed Luchino Visconti's Rocco and His Brothers, The Leopard, Death In Venice, and The Damned. All worth checking out as well.
