Very scientific read about a captive whitetail herd.
Very scientific read about a controlled deer population inside a high fence. Not for someone who wants a light storyline and narrative. Many other scientific research papers cited, both supporting and in conflict with the author's tenets. But surprised, though the work is a bit dated (written back in the 1970s,) that it is not used more as a reference when discussions are about the White-tailed deer.

Comprehensive little whitetail rut book
Very comprehensive little book, full of knowledgeable hunters and professional whitetail researchers and writers.
Maybe a second printing would include larger fonts for old eyes, better paper, and color prints.
