I started reborning in 2008 after I purchased a reborn for my niece’s birthday. I have always enjoyed being creative and chose hairdressing as a career which I did for 30 years until I discovered reborn dolls.
Drawing and painting has been a hobby of mine from being very young, I mostly enjoy pencil sketching portraits.
Now I paint dolls all day every day and never get fed-up. I feel there is always something new to learn so this keeps reborning very interesting.
I have mainly taught myself the art of reborning through trial and error. I have watched lots of dvds on the subject and subscribe to Discover Dolls Magazine. I am constantly studying pictures of new-borns to get ideas and inspiration.
New-born babies have a beautiful gentle innocence about them which is unique to the first few weeks of life, this is what I try to achieve when I am painting a blank vinyl kit.
