A lengthy tome so make some time; well worth it
For anyone who fell under the spell of Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band and would love to be the fly on the wall as all of the musical participants discuss in immense detail everything that transpired during the making of all those otherworldly and wonderful albums, here it is. Lengthy and in smallish print, it almost has a diary-like quality to it with regards to the attention given to little moments along with the detail. Myths are exposed, urban legends dismissed and the candor shines much needed light on the inner workings of one of California's most precious and enigmatic musical ensembles ever to make records.

C.S. Lewis, clearly one of the greatest minds of the twentieth century, focuses his attention on God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and how this Holy Trinity is the blueprint for mans' existence and true happiness. Clearer thoughts on the matter I have not experienced in all my reading days.
