Fantastic glass
Jumped form Tamron 90mm and just at the beginning learning to handle this lens properly. Bit heavy, but shooting handheld ( and with monopod ) for three hours wasn't so bad. I have Nikon SB R1 macro flash system and easy fits on 72mm thread - but quickly realised I have much more light available while using this lens due to minimal focusing distance which is much greater then shorter macro lens - so artificial light not always needed. When stable, sharpness is superb, HSM is quiet and fast ( I mean relatively fast comparing to other macro lens ) - Beautiful bokeh. max F3.5 doesn't bother me - I am using F8 / F11 anyway. If you into macro and do not have £600 + for Nikon or Tamron this is great alternative in my opinion.
