An excellent set design that was just missing fetchlands...
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Modern Horizons is the set we didn't even know we needed.
Instead of heavily reprinting cards like other master sets, a pretty good chunk are new prints, and while it seems they went cautious with the power creep, so many of the new cards are useful in Modern and Commander.
We needed a non-standard set that would make us relive great times in MTG.
And this set is amazing to draft as well, really fun and balanced due to the diversity of mechanics..
My only issue is that this was a missed opportunity for wizards to reprint fetch-lands and show their loyal players they still care, instead of the greedy move with the Secret Lair.
This would have been the perfect set to do it, specially if you're trying to keep and attract your player base to the format Modern. You are responsible to maintain your staple lands accessible, and how else do you expect to sell this product for 'Modern' if players cannot afford to play modern?
This would have also increased sales for Modern Horizons.
Otherwise wizards did a really good job designing this set. It feels refreshing and has incredibly pleasing artwork.
I think it has been underappreciated, and in the future we will miss it.
