Double your lens power, almost
Lets you reach out further with your exisiting lenses, the autofocus works fairly well in good lighting, drops off as light wanes. this might be why Pentax offers their teleconvertor at 1.4 power instead of 2. Photo peaking using a les's manual focus ring works very well, as an alternative to autofocus at high telephoto numbers such a 300mm

Great second lens
Great second lens, without breaking the bank. I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer and this definitely goes with me in my backpack. I have added a third zoom to my kit as well. My three auto focus zoom are 1) 10 to 17, 2) 18 to 55, 3) 55 to 300. They work great for me.

great classic mirorless camera
This is my second 'legacy' camera buy, the first was a Pentax Q7. The K-01 is a fine camera, it takes great images and is almost as full featured as the current production models. It is Physically as big as most current DSLR cameras. I don't take it out in foul weather though, as unlike current models it isn't weatherproof.
