This was as advertised
Tried many ways to deter deer from destroying my landscaping, but this is the only thing that consistently worked. I used it for one full season before writing this review. Fun to see those critters startle and run when the water got 'em, and also to know they weren't injured. I don't hate them. They just do what deer do. But I love to garden. Had to switch out the battery once, but other than that no maintenance. As soon as I removed the Scarecrow in the fall, the deer moved in and ate pretty much everything. Next year I'll follow up with sprays once we reach freezing weather in Michigan and the hoses come into the garage.

Go Crow!
After trying many approaches and products that were reported to deter deer, it was great to find something that works. Gardening is no longer a string of disappointments as "deer resistant" plants, bushes, and even small trees are destroyed. I ordered one Scarecrow a year ago and was so happy with results that I purchased another one this spring.
