Infertility does suck, but this book kinda does too.
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich I bought this book because I was looking for something to help get through the insanity of infertility, the emotional ups and downs, etc. Most of the other books just explore various treatment options and then have a chapter, at the end, about giving up or adopting. I wanted something different. This book is different, all right, but not really better. The author still seems to harbor unresolved resentment about her infertility, and is very pessimistic about all of the options she discusses (which she really just touches on briefly). The book apparently aims to take a "lighthearted" approach to infertility and its ensuing madness, but the author doesn't really succeed in amusing me. She goes off on some bizarre and long-winded generalizations about how ALL infertile women feel (or should feel) about women who are, have been, or ever will be pregnant. Although long-term infertility does make a woman cynical at times, I didn't find the book helpful. I tried to read it numerous times, but the overbearing cynicism ultimately made me give up. Others might find this book an amusing and heartfelt, honest expression of the pain of infertility from someone who's been there, but I just found it too caustic and hopeless for my needs.

Classic Horror Movie
I first saw this movie about 40 years ago and it is still one of my favorite horror movies. Awesome early performances by Cushing, Lee, Bernard Lee (M from James Bond), and Donald Sutherland. All of the vignettes are great. The final one with the creeping hand is worth the cost alone. A classic horror flick that stands up to time.

A good, basic workout for beginners
10 von 10 finden das hilfreich I bought this because I wanted a butt-kicking, fat-melting cardio workout. For the most part, I got it, but I would like the video to last a little bit longer than 36 minutes. There's a lot of teaching and reteaching of moves, which is great for someone who's choreographically-challenged like me, but once you watch it a few times you learn the moves and routine and you're ready to just knock yourself out for a great cardio blast. I recommend this for people who want to learn basic kickboxing moves, but beyond that, you might want a slightly more challenging workout video.
