Extensive, good for travel, handy
This book covers practically everything you'll need on basic to intermediate level for traveling around in Japan, as far as I know now. I'll be going to Japan next year and I'll also follow a Japanese course, so I can put it all to the test then. It's also handy that it gives examples, pronunciation tips and, of course, the alphabet and such.
