Traxxas ProGraphix Body: Slash 4x4, SLH, TRA6811X

Easy to make a great looking personalized body

Great value - this ProGraphix body only costs a buck or two more than clear, and it looks great with only one paint color and zero masking. It'd cost an extra $5+ each for white, silver, and black spray cans, plus masking tape, skill, and time, to make a clear body look as good as this one. The durability is as good as any Traxxas lexan body, which is about as good as you'll find.

Great value and learning experience

This kit was good value overall. Don't expect Japanese (Honda, Yamaha, etc) levels of quality; more like Harbor Freight or even a little worse, but it's totally functional. I did snap one bolt while tightening up the rear sprocket (I replaced all 9 with better quality ones) and I used some 3/16" automotive rubber fuel/vapor line instead of the stuff that came in the kit, which was clear and had some kinks in it. Once it was installed, the motor started right up and ran very well. It had decent power (comparable to an old 50cc Japanese moped), but due to the simple single speed transmission, you should pedal to take off to avoid wearing out the clutch. Overall, I think this is about the most fun you can have for the price. I bought a new beach cruiser bike, added this kit, and I have a fun motorized vehicle for a little over $200 all in. Considering you can't touch a used running moped or dirtbike for less than $800, it's a great value in my opinion.
