Interesting gambit versus the Sicilian Defense
This is an interesting book about a great, surprise line of play for the
1st player against the Sicilian Defense. The author analyses virtually
all of the Black-side responses. There are lots of variations to study
here but this book shows how to create some good complications for
one's opponent to try and solve. The Morra Gambit is much better than its reputation!

"The Man Chess Made - Albert Beauregard Hodges"
An extremely rich and very interesting historical work regarding an obscure
and little known chessplayer. Your reviewer has read many chess works in the
past 50 years but was amazed at the chessplaying life of Albert Beauregard
Hodges. The authors John Hilbert & Peter Lahde are to be commended for pro-
ducing such an important book!! A must read for anyone interested in the history and players of the game of chess. Highly recommended!!

'Anguish' fits the title & book very well.
"Alekhine's Anguish" is an excellent blend of the true events & people
in his life along with some added fictionalized story-telling that makes this
a very compelling read!!
