Great fun!
Collecting these redialled Pilots in the style first developed at the Tumkur factory is enjoyable. I'm trying to get all the colours (there are a lot of colours). These are cheap as chips and they make an interesting counterpart to the genuine, vintage versions which are rarer (and cost considerably more). Apart from the dial, usually a new crystal, and often new hands, these are generally assembled from parts salvaged from several old HMT watches. They don't always work well but often they do and at this price it's a risk worth taking. The only downside is that the poorer examples of these watches give HMTs a reputation for unreliability that the genuine products, at least from the company's heyday before the Millennium, mostly certainly do not deserve. Choose your seller carefully.
