You can make a more reliable device.
The padding material is similar to the original material from Porter Cable.
After moderate use it degrades significantly.
It shreds into lumps of gooey powder.
Much better off to clean the metal plate and fasten a more robust material as a pad ...
like a re-inforced padded anti static mat that has reinforcing threads.

Lotsa Tips
This is good fro taking portable electronic devices apart.
The only thing I found missing are the pentalobe tips ...
and the included hex tips do not have the "security" hole.
That's easily remedied by buying another kit of tips.
This is a good deal !

Spec is not accurate
The unit operates from about 3.5 volts and up ... not "0"
The chips used are rated for 28 volts maximum ... not "30"
The soldering of the wires is sloppy with leads long enough to short the input together.
Otherwise ... they work just fine and match my Fluke 87 meter within better than 1%.
