Trains pull, not Push Action in Golf Swing

You can't push, or come over the top, using this whip. Actually you can, but it feels very awkward and you could even hurt your elbow as the weight of the club puts stress on it when done incorrectly. Advice: Start slow and build up speed. The point of a training aid is to learn intuitively by feel, not by thoughts/advice. Still some words on what to do would be useful.
