Good game but some issues

I bought this game for my partner for Christmas as he loves assassins creed, the story of the game he loves but several times in the middle of some his missions the game has come up with an error message and he's had to restart the PS4 and has had to re start his missions. The game has also frozen several times. I bought him another game too and this never happened on that one just assassins creed so definitely isn't the console it's definitely the game it self.
